Me on the BBC?

So, late Thursday night I did a live interview on BBC Radio about African influences in Beyoncés “Lemonade.” I’ve done a lot of radio interviews in my career and I haven’t been particularly nervous for any of them but, this one gave me pause. Both of my parents are Jamaican, an island colonized by the British. One of the legacies of that colonization is a lingering complicated reverence for all things British. When I told my mom she said ‘Oh my God’ and she’s usually low key about what I’m up to – proud, but low key. Anyway, here it is – me on the Beeb.
